Thornlie: Man seriously injured on Garden Street after being struck by a bus and taken to Fiona Stanley
A man is in a serious condition after being hit by a bus in Perth’s south-east on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Garden Street in Thornlie around 7.40am after the man in his 60s was struck by a bus.
Three ambulance crews were on the scene to assist the man.
The pedestrian has serious injuries and was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital under lights and sirens.
Garden Street was closed northbound between Bridge Road and the Bridgeway in Canning Vale.
Main Roads WA urged drivers to seek an alternate route as traffic is heavy in the area.
The street reopened around 10am.
