Netball, hockey and soccer premiership champions were crowned in Geraldton’s 2018 super grand finals weekend.

The big weekend of penultimate games began with a Geraldton Netball Association senior one grand final thriller on Friday night between reigning premier Aztecs and 2017 runner-up Kazuals.

Aztecs led at every change and had a handy 10-goal buffer on their arch-rivals at the start of the final term.

Kazuals showed great fighting spirit, however, scoring 19 goals to Aztecs’ 12 in the final quarter.

But in the end the margin was too great and Aztecs claimed victory 52-49 to snare back-to-back premierships.
