With the cup decided and grounds empty attention turns to the club rooms as end-of-season presentations are set to begin over the next few weeks.

Rovers, the new premiers, will no doubt host a happy event on Friday.

Chris Scott, who won the JJ Clune Medal (league best) is tipped for the Penniment/Bursill Medal but no less than 26 of 73 previous Clune victors did not win their club’s best in the same year.

Gabriel Parfitt could deny Scott and Glen Prosser and Joe Ugle should do well. Their women’s award could go to Abby Green with Imogen Perejuan possible.

Chapman Valley host their closer at Spalding Park Golf Club on Saturday.

The LP Cooper Medal favourite is Ringo McKenna with Taylor Kelly and Mick McConnell contenders.

Tayah Palmer, co-winner of the league best, is frontrunner among their women, with Taylah Broadhurst a chance.

Next Friday, September 23, is Northampton’s turn and the PA Carson Medal seems a three-horse race between Flynn Dillon, Tyler Caddy and Ethan Brown. Jamie Williams and Beau Walker are also in the mix.

Women’s medal favourites are Asha Poletti and Mikenna Schultz.

Brigades also announce their champions on September 23, with Klay Silila and Kim Schofield candidates for the PG Cooper Medal. Hayden Johnson and Dale Williamson will also score votes.

A big chance for the women’s medal is Samantha Tenardi along with Kim Aldrick and Gemma Dix.

Mullewa host their event on September 24 and it’s very likely Kristian Papertalk will win his fifth Gus Mourish Medal.

Troy Simpson, Calvin Wall and veteran Shane Bonney will be behind him.

Mullewa’s women’s winner is tough to pick but Khyesha Comeagain is a good bet.

The count at Railways is on October 1 with either four-time Stan Cross medallist Mitch Boyle or Jess Adamini expected to win.

Jasmine Johansen should do well for the Blues women with perhaps Jaimee Ahearn challenging.

Towns close out on October 15 and VT Clune Medal’s favourite is Rohan Fariss, again a shining light in a battling side with Paydn Mason and Stuart Gaby likely to also win votes.

Co-league winner Olivia Bidwell is likely to take the women’s honours with Michaela Clarke and Ashleigh Jones in pursuit.
