Alleged ‘guinea pig-nappers’ charged
A stolen family guinea pig has been reunited with its owners in Waggrakine.
Police say the guinea pig-nappers took the tiny animal from its cage in the backyard of a property in Nerrel Street, Waggrakine, on Tuesday.
But they were spotted jumped a fence by someone nearby, who contacted police.
On arriving at the scene, police saw a group of youths running through bushland.
Officers searched the bush and then found the guinea pig.
An 11-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl, both from Waggrakine, have been charged.
Inquiries are continuing.
