A Geraldton man has faced court charged with nine historic child sex offences.

Anthony Orlando, 58, pleaded not guilty in Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday to seven counts of unlawfully and indecently dealing with a child under 14 in Geraldton, another count of the same charge in Moresby, and one count of carnal knowledge of a child under 13.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between 1980 and 1982, and in 1984.

The matter was adjourned until December 2 for the defence to receive disclosure from police, with Mr Orlando’s bail extended.
