Apex Club of Geraldton donates $4000 to Royal Flying Doctor Service after fundraising at national convention

The Apex Club of Geraldton has donated $4000 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service after fundraising efforts from a national convention held in Geraldton last year. The four-day convention in October saw almost 100 delegates from across Australia as well as from Singapore, the Philippines and Bangladesh. The event raised funds through a variety of ways, including a charity auction and fines sessions, paving the way for the generous donation to the RFDS. “The Royal Flying Doctor Service of WA is grateful for the support of the Apex Club of Geraldton,” RFDS community fundraising co-ordinator Brenda Malauski said. “We operate in the largest and most remote health jurisdiction in the world providing the finest care to the furthest corner of our State. Donations from the community help us to continue to operate and to ensure the Flying Doctor can be there for every West Australian who needs us.” Apex Geraldton club president Tom Cox said: “It is great that we can combine efforts with like-minded Apexians from all around Australia and beyond to broaden our impact from Geraldton to regional communities throughout Australia.” Apex Geraldton is looking for new members.
