For apprentice electrician Jamie Young, the awards just keep coming.

The 18-year-old pocketed three accolades before his Nagle Catholic College graduation last year and thought he had seen the end of it.

But recently, the School Curriculum and Standards Authority decided to hand him another.

Mr Young was awarded the VET Certificate of Excellence in Construction Industries for his quick progression through vocational education studies.

He said that, paired with three other awards for VET, general learning and religious education, made his mum very happy.

Mr Young is working for a Wonthella-based electrical company and is working on the construction of the Geraldton-Greenough State Emergency Services building near Geraldton Airport.
