Axe and toy guns seized during car search in Geraldton overnight

Police allegedly found an axe and two plastic toy guns made to look like firearms during a car search in Mahomets Flats overnight.

They also allegedly seized cannabis, a .22 round and suspected stolen property.

The car and its occupants were searched just after midnight.

A 27-year-old Mahomets Flats woman has been charged in relation to the incident and will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.

Police are still investigating.
