Bluff Point Primary School P&C gratitude tree initiative allows students to leave a mark with embossed leaves

Bluff Point Primary School have introduced a new initiative aimed at fostering a sense of community and belonging among students. A Gratitude Tree has been painted on a wall at the school grounds in the form of a leaning tree by local artist Sandy Needham, as part of a new fundraising initiative by the school’s P&C. Staff and students have the opportunity to purchase an embossed leaf tag with their name to hang proudly on the mural. For $25, students pick a colour and draw their own design to be stamped on the leaf. Leaves will be attached sometime in October. The fundraiser will support the P&C in raising essential funds for the school and replacing the quadrangle. School principal Celine Bellve thanked those who have contributed to school community and towards the fundraiser. “This fantastic project, introduced by our dedicated P&C committee, offers a unique opportunity for past and present staff and students to contribute to our school community,” she said. “We believe this project will not only enhance our school’s environment but also foster a sense of community and belonging.” Order forms must be submitted by Friday, August 23.
