Victim of fatal crash at Bootenal, near Geraldton, believed to be a man in his 20s

VideoPolice are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Geraldton.

Police believe a person who died in a fiery car crash near Geraldton this morning was a man in his 20s.

Major Crash officers are investigating the crash, which happened about 3.30am on Edward Road, Bootenal, near Greenough Regional Prison.

Police said a 2002 blue Holden Commodore utility travelling south left the road and hit a tree.

The utility then caught fire and the driver died at the scene.

Major Crash Investigation officers want to speak with anybody who may have seen the utility before the crash or who know of the driver’s movements in the hours before the crash.
