UPDATE: Police are calling for witnesses after a Toyota Landcruiser and a truck collided on Brand Highway, 21km south of Dongara yesterday.

Police said the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when they collided about 1pm, causing the Landcruiser to roll multiple times.

A man from Upper Swan, who was the single occupant in the Landcruiser, had to be freed from the vehicle by DFES and was taken to Geraldton Hospital where he was said to be in a serious but stable condition.

Brand Highway was closed in both directions for nearly four hours so debris and fuel could be removed from the road.

The driver of the truck was a Moora man.

Dongara police are continuing investigations into the incident.

Anyone who saw the crash, or either vehicle leading up to the crash, is asked to contact Dongara Police on 9955 9300.
