‘Business as usual’ for Target Geraldton

Gavin BoxGeraldton Guardian

Target Australia has played down rumours its Geraldton store will be rebranded as Kmart.

Since news reports surfaced that Target and Kmart’s parent company Wesfarmers was considering replacing some Target stores with Kmart, rumours have circulated in Geraldton that change is coming.

The Guardian asked both Target and Kmart this week if the rumours were true.

This was the response, attributed to a Target spokeswoman.

“It’s business as usual for us at Target Geraldton,” she said.

“We look forward to continuing our relationship with the community while providing our customers affordable, quality fashion.”
