Camera IconGeraldton’s business community farewelled a challenging 2020 at a Mid West Chamber of Commerce and Industry business after-hours event at the Broadwater.Music, delicious food, drinks and an unbeatable ocean view were on the menu as the crowd heard from guest speakers — Ted Ishizuka from Mitsui E&P Australia, Jenny Addison from Bank of Queensland, and Scott Cogar from the Broadwater Resort Hotel.After the speeches, guests mingled, networked and swapped Christmas gifts. Guests were also asked to bring a non-perishable donation to Foodbank.If there was an award for best dressed, it should have gone to Leanne Wilson from Hog’s Breath Cafe and her impressive inflatable Santa suit.The MWCCI is planning its first big event of 2021 — the 10th Mid West Economic Summit on February 18 at Queens Park Theatre.Industry experts from the resources, renewable energy, agricultural, tourism and education sectors will talk about current issues, the outlook and economic drivers for the Mid West.
