Call for funds as Geraldton water polo juniors head to nationals in the new year

The region’s best junior water polo players will be travelling to Perth in January to take part in the Australian Youth Water Polo Championship. From January 9-19, the best young water polo players will be on show with Geraldton sending under-16s and 18s representatives. Geraldton Water Polo Association spokesperson Julia Gourley said she was excited about how the season was playing out and the quality of juniors coming through. “Our juniors are the future of Geraldton waterpolo, and we are so excited about the opportunities they are going to be experiencing in Perth,” she said. “They are also going to have the opportunity to watch the tri-nations matches between Australia, Japan and USA.” “We offering opportunities to sponsor a player for $50 or $100 which funds go towards reducing the cost of travelling to Perth.”
