Call for input from regions on air services and fares

People in the Mid West and regional WA are invited to have their say about the WA Government’s draft Aviation Strategy.
The draft Strategy sets out the future direction of aviation in WA, with a number of the recommendations and actions relating to regional airfares and air services.
Department of Transport Director of Aviation Peter Ryan said he valued feedback from regional residents, given the impact regional airfares and air services had on those living and working in regional WA.
The Department held a series of workshops in Broome, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Kununurra, Newman, Onslow, Paraburdoo and Port Hedland in 2019.
However individual contributions are still being received.
Mr Ryan said the Government would consider all feedback to help shape the future of airfares and aviation in WA.
To provide feedback complete the online feedback form via mysaytransport.wa.gov.au/WAAviationStrategy.
The public comment period closes 27 March 2020.
