Cammeron Leslee Wootton: Geraldton man pleads not guilty to having stolen guns that were buried in Shark Bay

One of several people accused of possessing firearms stolen from a Geraldton home, which were later discovered buried in Shark Bay, has pleaded not guilty. Cammeron Leslee Wootton, 36, appeared in Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday and pleaded not guilty to possessing stolen property and being unlicensed to possess a firearm. A firearm safe containing two .22 rifles was allegedly stolen from a property in Beachlands between March 22 and 23 while the owner was away. They were later found buried off Shark Bay Road in Nanga on April 4, more than 350km away. Mr Wootton is charged with possessing the firearms in Utakarra between March 22 and 27. Two co-accused in the incident, Danielle Blanchard and Marley Jirel Sauvarin, have previously pleaded not guilty over their alleged involvement. The fourth co-accused, Billy Hipper, is yet to enter a plea for charges relating to the incident. Mr Wootton is set to reappear in court on September 18.
