A car crashed into a fence in Wonthella this morning after two cars collided on North West Coastal Highway.

Police said the collision happened near the intersection of Third Street and North West Coastal Highway just before 8am.

The impact shunted one of the vehicles off the road and onto a footpath, where it crashed into a householder’s fence.

It is understood nobody was injured.

Officers closed part of the southbound lane of North West Coastal Highway while a tow truck could remove the vehicle.

It was removed about 9.20am and the road re-opened.

Police are investigating the incident.
