Car with four occupants, including two young kids, rolls between Dongara and Geraldton towing camper trailer

A car towing a camper trailer crashed and rolled near Dongara last week, however luckily the driver and his three passengers — including a toddler and a baby — were not seriously injured. Police attended the crash scene after the car towing a camper trailer lost control and rolled last Wednesday morning. About 10.40am, a 34-year-old man was travelling north on Brand Highway between Dongara and Geraldton in a Toyota Prado towing a camper trailer. Geraldton traffic officer-in-charge Sgt Ron Pace said as the driver was negotiating a bend in Bookara, the left wheels of the camper trailer entered the gravel verge. “This caused the vehicle to sway and in an attempt to correct the trailer flipped over and in turn causes the Prado to roll over as well,” Sgt Pace said. There were three passengers, a 33-year-old woman, a two-year-old and a two-month-old baby. “The female received a laceration to her eye,” Sgt Pace said. “No one else was injured.” All four occupants received medical treatment and the car was towed to Geraldton.
