Cash, meth seizure
Police allegedly seized $13,000 in cash and about 40g of methylamphetamine after a traffic stop at Drummond Cove.
Geraldton police were on patrol when they stopped a Toyota Landcruiser just after midnight last Thursday, on North West Coastal Highway near the Chapman Road intersection.
Police searched the car, along with the 51-year-old male driver and 44-year-old female passenger, both from Broome.
Geraldton detectives allege the man was in possession of the drugs and money.
The pair were taken to Geraldton Police Station where the woman was searched again and police allegedly found a small amount of methylamphetamine and $1500 cash.
The man was charged with possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply, possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property and no authority to drive.
The woman was charged with possession of a prohibited drug.
The man has been remanded in custody to reappear before Broome Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
