Champion Bay Senior High School Year 12 ball a night to remember full of fun and dancing

They may have had to wear masks inside, but nothing was going to dampen the spirits or wipe the smiles off the faces of those attending Champion Bay Senior High School’s night of nights — the Year 12 ball. The school’s ball was held at Rover Football Club on March 19, with a big crowd gathering to watch the arrivals of the stylish and glamorous Class of 2022. Modes of arrivals ranged from a vintage Purcher International truck, a Monaro and a Kombi van to a stretch limousine and a Tesla. Inside, the football club was transformed into an “enchanted forest” for the night, where students sipped on mocktails and showed off the dance moves they had spent the past seven weeks learning during form class with dance teachers Jo Corlett and Teaka Howard. The night culminated in an epic dance off between Armani Liswaniso and Shareef Mohammad. Belle and beau of the ball were awarded to Gracee Wilson and Boyden Ryder, while Holly Turner and Cameron Murdoch won best arrival. Harry Calver was judged Mr Congeniality, Noah Steenson took out the party animal award while Shareef Mohammad had the last laugh on the dancefloor, claiming the best dancer title.
