Chapman Valley ready to come alive with two days of music, markets and family fun at annual country music fest

The Chapman Valley Country Music Festival returns to the Nanson Showgrounds this weekend.

Festivities kick off on Friday night with the emerging artists and stage walk-ups, giving rising country musicians the chance to perform on the main stage.

Performers include Darren Gillis, Connie Kis Anderson, Band of Mates and Kimberely Gold.

Saturday kicks off with a free family festival, from 9am to 1pm, featuring markets, workshops, cooking demonstrations, children’s activities and live busking.

Festival-goers can join in basket weaving, yoga, line dancing and more before the main stage music program starts.

The official opening will include the emerging artist award presentation, followed by performances from the winner, along with acts such as Amberley Maryellen, Real Good Question, Kathy Carver, Ray Jones, Elias Bartholomeo and Codee-Lee.

The night will conclude with headline performers Tania Kernaghan and Jason Owen, before the Western Suntones close out the festival in true country style.
