City of Greater Geraldton officers Sheri Moulds and Katelyn Reece receive separate awards for their hard work

A pair of City of Greater Geraldton officers have been recognised for their hard work and dedication with two separate awards last week. Sheri Moulds, personal assistant to CEO Ross McKim, has been at the city since 2017 and on Friday night received the distinguished officer award in the WA Local Government Association’s 2024 Local Government Honours Program. On the same night, city customer experience officer Katelyn Reece — in the job for 10 months — accepted the Australian Contact Centre Association’s rising star award at the Auscontact National Excellence Awards. Mayor Jerry Clune praised both officers, saying the acknowledgment was well deserved. “My warmest congratulations to Sheri and Katelyn on receiving such prestigious awards,” he said. “Sheri has worked with four CEOs and three mayors during her time at the city and is well known for going over and above the call of duty for both the organisation and the community,” he said. “Katelyn has really hit the ground running at the city demonstrating the strengths and capabilities that indicate brilliant potential for career growth within the organisation and beyond.” The WALGA awards celebrate people and teams for their outstanding contributions to the local government sector. Meanwhile, the Auscontact awards recognise excellence in customer service, contact centres and customer experience.
