City of Greater Geraldton staging another All Ability Day to mark International Day of People with Disability

An impressive and inclusive line-up of activities has been organised to celebrate All Ability Day later this month. The event marks International Day of People with Disability, and the fun itinerary includes karaoke, an animal experience, a photo booth, market stalls, walking soccer, free ice-cream and a visit from the Cape Burney Bushfire Brigade. Event-goers are also encouraged to dress up as a member of their favourite sports team or in sports colours. City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said he looked forward to celebrating the special occasion, people of all abilities welcome. “International Day of People with Disability is a great celebration for everyone to come together and appreciate the diversity and inclusivity of our community,” he said. “Inclusion remains a top priority for the City and we hope this event can help us to celebrate where we’ve come as a community — and look to what we can achieve together in the future.” Geraldton’s All Ability Day will take place on Wednesday, November 22 from 3.30pm-6.30pm at the QEII Seniors and Community Centre and Queens Park.
