The City of Greater Geraldton is staging a host of activities and events for the whole family to enjoy on Australia Day.

There are plenty of family friendly activities on the January 26 itinerary, which starts at 7.30am with an open water swim and kids beach party at Champion Bay Surf Life Saving Club.

From 8am, a sunrise yoga session will be held with Geraldton Yoga Club under the trees next to Geraldton Yacht Club.

Citizenship ceremonies and community citizen of the year awards will be held at the QEII centre.

Market stalls will kick off at 8am on the foreshore between Dome and Jaffle Shack until 1pm.

Rev heads can get their motoring fix at the classic car display next to Dome from 8am-2pm.

A free afternoon tea and concert for seniors will be put on by the Rotary Club of Greater Geraldton at the QEII centre from 2-4pm.

Night owls will be treated to a concert and food trucks at Stow Gardens. Live music will come from Solitary Sounds, Karloo Rockers, Tommy Gun and Playlunch.

A fireworks show put on by Europcar will wrap up the day at 8pm. The fireworks display is weather dependent.

For Mullewa residents, the community is invited to the Doc Docherty Pool from 7.30am for a free breakfast, community citizen of the year awards and a performance by Binmaga Dance.
