City of Greater Geraldton to welcome Sweet Olive and Cafe Zuma WA food trucks to Beresford Foreshore

Two food vans will set up on the Beresford Foreshore, offering passersby a variety of sweet treats and savoury snacks. You may have seen the mobile food businesses pop up around the city, or serving up a storm at local markets. Following a unanimous decision by the City of Greater Geraldton council last month, Sweet Olive Caravan and Cafe Zuma WA food vans will be permanently based close to the prominent Horizon ball sculpture, adjacent to Adam Street. Cafe Zuma WA will operate from Monday-Thursday, and Sweet Olive Caravan will be available on Fridays, as long as the weather permits. City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said the food vans would further activate the Beresford Foreshore, in an area built to fit the operations. “Beresford Foreshore is a local favourite and one of our city’s great drawcards, with the renowned Horizon sculpture attracting multitudes of visitors for the must-have Geraldton selfie,” he said. “The area which will be occupied by the Sweet Olive Caravan and Cafe Zuma WA has been specifically designed for multi-use mobile commercial activities, so it is brilliant the space will now be fully utilised as intended.” Both businesses are expected to begin operating as soon as possible. “I look forward to seeing the added vibrancy these two fantastic local businesses will bring to the northern end of our beloved Beresford Foreshore,” Mr Clune said.
