City Scenes: Picture-perfect rainbow at Sunset Beach by Richard Porter is our photo of the week

After a week of wet and wild weather, local photographer Richard Porter has captured a stunning rainbow that followed the storm while catching the morning breeze on Wednesday. Geraldton Camera Club president Richard Porter — who also volunteers at the Men’s Shed — captured this photo on Wednesday, August 3 when he went to explore the beach during the windy weather. He said while he was examining the conditions of the beach, a rainbow appeared in front of him. “I went out in the wind this morning to see what the waves were like at Sunset Beach,” he said. “As I was watching, suddenly this rainbow appeared. “I particularly like this one as the arc of the rainbow exits at the top-right-hand corner of the image.” Have you captured a shot you think deserves to be our Pic of the Week?
