City to replace foreshore pine trees
Five Norfolk pine trees located on the foreshore will be replaced by the City of Greater Geraldton tomorrow.
The trees, located near the intersection of Forrest Street and Foreshore Drive, will be replaced with similar-looking Cook pine trees.
Work is expected to happen between 5am and 6pm and traffic management will be in place.
The City has advised there may be short delays in the area and has asked people to exercise caution and obey all signs and directions.
The trees were planted in 2007 but will be replaced as they’re not thriving.
The replacement is part of the City’s program of foreshore upgrades.
