Cruise ship Azamara Quest and more than 700 guests make a visit to Geraldton

Geraldton’s cruise ship revival continued on Monday as the Azamara Quest dropped anchor for the day. The ship and its 781 passengers arrived on Monday morning around 8am after departing from Fremantle the day before. Guests were welcomed at the port and spent the day on land before departing at 6pm that evening. The one-day stop was part of the Azamara Quest’s 16-day voyage from Fremantle to Hong Kong, with Benoa in Bali the next stop on the voyage. It is the second visit to Geraldton for the Azamara Quest, which arrived in 2018 and marked the first overnight cruise ship visit for the city. According to Australia Cruise Association CEO Jill Abel, the 11 cruise ship visits made to Geraldton during 2019-20 generated some $5 million for the city.
