A 19-year-old who allegedly tried to flee police on arrest has been charged and will spend Christmas behind bars after several burglaries in the Mt Tarcoola area last weekend. Geraldton police received several reports of houses being broken into in the Mt Tarcoola area in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, December 16. Police responded and arrested a 19-year-old man who attempted to escape from police. Darrey Bandy appeared in Geraldton Magistrates Court from Greenough Regional Prison on Thursday charged with aggravated home burglary with intent, aggravated home burglary and commit, attempted aggravated home burglary with intent, possession of a disguise and unlawful damage. His application for bail was adjourned until Thursday, February 1. Mr Bandy was remanded in custody.
