Deadline draws near to enrol for voting in City of Greater Geraldton council election
There are only three days remaining to ensure you are enrolled to vote in the October local government election.
The City of Greater Geraldton is urging the community to double check they are on the roll, or if not to enrol before 5pm on Friday.

Electors on the State electoral roll are automatically able to vote in their local government elections, but those who are not on the State roll and meet eligibility criteria can enrol online or download a form from the WA Electoral Commission website.
Residents can also confirm enrolment status and update their address or other details on the website. Local government polls are held every two years, with the 2021 election taking place on October 16. In Geraldton, the terms of seven councillors are coming to an end and will become vacant.
Nominations to run for council open on Thursday, September 2, and close at 4pm on Thursday, September 9.
Potential candidates keen to gain more insight about the processes and the roles and responsibilities of a councillor can attend a City-hosted information session on Thursday at 5.30pm at the Civic Centre function room.
