Dongara are Geraldton Bendigo Bank B-Grade cricket champions following a 99-run win over Towns at the Rec.

Dongara made 7-200 after captain Jamie Smith won the toss and batted.

Player of the match Darcy Stephens (61), Troy Bedford (42) and Smith (40) shone with Archie Bougard (18 not out) chiming in. Mitch Marsh, Brad Mailer and Darcy Keleher took two wickets each.

Towns replied with 101 as only Dan Guppy (44) thrived. Chris Bowran (3-17) took an early scalp and also removed Marsh and Jack Collins.

After Guppy fell to Mick Marwick, Matt Greenlees (2-8) went to work.
