Double trouble for Geraldton’s Buccs on away weekend in Perth

The Geraldton Buccaneers went down in both games of their double-header away weekend.

Taine Wattie put up 22 points for the Buccs on Saturday as the Cockburn Cougars overran them, 101-58, at Wally Hagan Stadium, snapping a seven-game losing run.

Elijah Barbour was the Buccs’ second-top scorer, with 12.

Mathiang Muo had 10 rebounds.

Ben Henshall and Gavin Field scored 16 each for the Cougars.

Muo scored 44 points on Sunday and grabbed 10 boards, but it wasn’t enough as the side went down 83-105 to Perth Redbacks.
