False number plates lead to string of charges

Police say a 31-year-old Geraldton man was carrying methamphetamine, cash and scales when they pulled him over for driving an unlicensed motorbike with false plates in Webberton early this morning.

Police stopped the man on Stow Street at about 3.50am.

He was charged with driving an unlicensed vehicle, driving without a licence, possessing false number plates, and possessing a prohibited drug.

He will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court today.

Police said enquiries were continuing.
