Fatal crash victim named

Police have named a man who was killed in a car accident on Indian Ocean Drive on Wednesday.

He was Peter Domenic Solar, 49, Innaloo.

Mr Solar died after his Holden Commodore and a Ford Territory collided about 10km north of Leeman.

Police said it was believed both vehicles were travelling north on the highway when Mr Solar attempted to do a U-turn and the two vehicles collided.

Emergency services were called to the crash about 1.25pm, however Mr Solar died as a result of his injuries.

Police said the driver and passenger of the silver Ford Territory were not seriously injured.
