Federal Government launches EOI for infrastructure grants up to $15 million under Growing Regions Program

Expressions of interest have opened for a program providing grants of up to $15 million to local government and not-for-profit organisations delivering infrastructure projects in regional WA. Grants from $500,000 to $15 million are awarded from the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts on a merit basis under the Growing Regions Program. EOIs that meet requirements will be invited to submit a full application. Durack MHR Melissa Price said the importance of infrastructure in the electorate couldn’t be understated and hoped the new round of funding would help add to the vibrancy and viability of local government areas. “I look forward to seeing the successful outcome for more Durack communities with the new Growing Regions Program,” she said. The project aims to construct or upgrade community infrastructure that fills an identified gap or need, contribute to achieving a wide range of community socio-economic outcomes and to be strategically aligned with regional priorities. The program replaces the Coalitions Building Better Regions Fund. Applicants have until 5pm on August 1 to submit an EOI.
