The Geraldton Amateur Basketball Association is planning a $3.5 million redevelopment of Activewest Stadium.

The GABA are in discussions with local, State and Federal authorities about the project.

The most pressing issue for the ever-growing sport is more playing space. Another four courts will be built if the present plan gets the green light.

“We’re at least that many courts short of what we need,” GABA administrator Nerolie Gerreyn said.

“It’s going to get worse before it gets better.”.
