Akira is a medium-size mixed breed who has been in care since May. During her time she raised a fine litter of pups, all rehomed, and it’s now her time to shine.

Akira is very affectionate, enjoys human interaction and companionship, and is well socialised with dogs of any size. Trips to the beach and bush are very much enjoyed, so the outdoorsy-type would make a perfect match.

Akira has tolerated the house cat, and is even friendly once she gets to know them.

Akira is a good watchdog, is quite athletic with a medium-level energy and will require full height fencing.

A home with another dog or with owners home most of the time would be ideal.

Akira walks well on a lead, is house trained, not food aggressive and well behaved in a car, but does seem to get car sick. Akira has been vet checked, vaccinated, sterilised, and worm and flea treated. Her adoption fee is $400. To meet her or for more information, call 0400 219 719.

Geraldton Dog Rescue is stuck with several "long termers" at the moment, each one extremely lovely, a couple of them are mature in age.

Please give us a call and help move them on to forever homes. Unfortunately their only downfall has been their competition (puppies) but they are just as deserving of a family to call their own.
