Round two of the Geraldton Water Polo Association starts on Friday afternoon, with three games of B and C-grade teams in action. Ahead of the round two action, Geraldton Water Polo Association spokesperson Julia Gourley shared news about next year’s country week. “Mark the long weekend in March 2024 in your calendar as GWPA is hosting the country week championship we are calling for EOI for coaches and managers to lead our teams,” she said. “Winning earlier this year in Peel for both men’s and women’s we will be looking at repeating that at our home pool.” In women’s C-grade, Serpents Blue take on Rats Black, with Rats eager to build on the momentum gained from their draw in the first round. In the B-grade games, the men’s Relics side faces off against the B52’s, who put on quite a show last round, with their young stars shining in the water. Jimmy Horsman was particularly impressive, scoring four goals in the game. The B-women B52’s also play on Friday, facing Serpents, as both teams aim to build early-season momentum.
