Geraldton bank branch re-opened after ‘customer incident’

Geraldton’s Bankwest branch has reopened following an incident with a customer on Monday.
A spokesman for the bank said the branch was temporarily closed because of concerns raised regarding the presence of an aggressive customer.
“Our primary concern is the wellbeing of our customers and colleagues,” he said.

Geraldton police told The Geraldton Guardian they spoke to a customer creating a disturbance in the street, but would not proceed with any criminal charges at this time.
On Monday, customers were directed to the next-closest Bankwest branch, in Jurien Bay.
