Geraldton Bowling Club wraps up 2023 Giudice and Barndon Championship

The squad of Ashley Cooper, Gary Smith, Phil Christensen and Les Panting won the 2023 Giudice and Barndon Championship at the Geraldton Bowling Club on Sunday, November 5. The championship fours series was run at the bowling club and the team took a 13-12 win over the runner-up squad of Jon Trotter, Peter Reudavey, Michael Watson and Peter Ireson. The final came right down to the wire as Trotter was holding sway for the match, but Christensen managed to level it out. As it came down to the last end, it was the side led by Christensen that managed to pull ahead and come away with the victory, which was the case with the final two selection matches for the event. The Geraldton Bowling Club is now focused on the 2023 Young Motors Open, which started on Sunday, November 12.
