Geraldton bypass a focus for Nationals MP Ian Blayney
Nationals WA member for Geraldton Ian Blayney says he hopes all parties will get behind a bypass road for the city.
Speaking after the Nationals State council accepted his party membership application, he said a bypass was probably the biggest issue for Geraldton.
He said he had not yet spoken with the party about key issues, but he was looking forward to having direct input on royalties for regions.
He said he would pick up a number of party portfolios, yet to be announced, which would be “relevant to Geraldton”.
Mr Blayney said he was pleased with his acceptance by the Nationals and that correct process had been followed.
