I am, you are, we are Westralian.Geraldton festival-goers gathered in their hundreds at the Museum of Geraldton to celebrate WA Day on Monday, with the event put on by Celebrate WA. The family fun day included pottery stalls, live animals and entertainment by local legends such as Craig Pickett and Zain Laudehr. Not-for-profit group Apex put on a sausage sizzle, while food trucks from Fusion Gelato, Remi’s French Street Food and the Geraldton Greenough Farmers Market made sure every tastebud was satisfied. As always, this year’s celebration was far more than a day off school and work. The festival had a palpable, wholesome energy, getting Geraldtonians of all ages to appreciate what it means to call Western Australia home.Photo:Dan Power and Sarah Pillsneniks, 10, from Midwest Aerial and Acrobatic Studios.
