Geraldton coach wary of Senators
Geraldton Buccaneers coach Dayle Joseph believes historically his side has probably been a better team than Warwick, but these days he is wary of the vastly improved Senators.
The Perth side, which sits second on the State Basketball League ladder, has had some big wins this season, including a 53-point defeat of Cockburn in round 10 and a 37-point victory over the South West in round nine. Joseph called them a “shooting side” and expected them to pose problems defensively.
“They play full-court defence, which I can see being disruptive to us,” he said.
“It should be quite a big game.
“They’re poised to be a top-four team by the end of the season, so, in the end, I think it’s a pretty good challenge for us, to see what direction we’re travelling.”
The Buccs will take on the Senators at 7.30pm tomorrow at Activewest Stadium.
