Play in the Geraldton Cricket League resumes Friday night with a T20 match at Wonthella between Towns and Chapman Valley-Northampton.

The game has no relevance with regard to the T20 Cup as Towns and Wanderers have already qualified for the final on February 16.

But there are competition points on offer and Towns will want to win to put pressure on Wanderers for the minor premiership and automatic entry to the grand final.

CVN has a thin hope of making the finals but realistically will want to knock over a top two side and go on to finish the season in positive fashion.

On Saturday, it’s back to 50-over cricket with Towns and CVN to meet again, this time at Mazzuchelli Oval while competition leaders Wanderers will be favoured over Bluff Point at GBSC Park.

On Sunday, the Women’s Cricket League also returns.

Wanderers meet CVN at GBSC Park and Wanderers will not have forgotten they were held to a tie the last time they played CVN.

Wanderers were two players short that day and CVN will have a big job to even get close to the competition leaders this time if Wanderers are anywhere near full strength.

The other women’s game is at Wonthella where Sportsmans play Towns.

B-Grade: Spo v BP (Won); Twn v Don (Rec); Wan v CVN (GBSC2).
