Geraldton family creates GoFundMe page for 3yo boy hit by vehicle in Karloo, now in stable condition at PCH

The three-year-old boy who was struck by a vehicle in Karloo remains in hospital in a stable condition, while family have organised a GoFundMe page to assist with accommodation costs during his recovery. Major Crash investigators continue to investigate the incident on Tuesday, March 14, when police allege a 46-year-old driving a white Hyundai I30 ran over and dragged three-year-old Brenten Comeagain who was sitting on a roadside verge on Aaron Close in Karloo. On Monday, the Child and Adolescent Health Services said the boy remained in a stable condition since he was moved from a critical condition last week. GoFundMe page organiser Erin Dawson said her nephew was left with “critical injuries” and was admitted into the intensive care unit at Perth Children’s Hospital, and the three-year-old had a “long recovery journey ahead of him with an estimated time frame of three-months”. “Perth Children’s Hospital has been generous enough to have accommodated Klarissa and Brenten (the boy’s parents) over the past week, however, moving forward this will not be an option,” Ms Dawson said. “I am hoping to fundraise enough funds to cover the cost of accommodation for Klarissa and Brenten, this would be one less stress and a major help for them during this hard time.” The boy’s grandmother Kylie Dalgety said the hospital told her he was a miracle child and someone was watching over him.
