Geraldton fighters bring home hardware from the Queen of the Ring boxing tournament

A pair of Geraldton fighters took podium finishes in a groundbreaking event at the first-ever Queen of the Ring boxing tournament in Perth. The tournament, held from November 9-11, featured fierce competition and remarkable performances. Local boxers representing Skybox Studio, Sarah Butler and Danica Pergoliti made waves. Butler emerged as the Queen of the Ring champion in the 75kg division, taking home the gold. This victory marked the culmination of a fantastic season for Butler, who had previously secured the State elite title and the Australian elite title. As she steps up to the 75kg division, Butler looks poised for a bright future in the sport. On the other hand, Pergoliti, competing in the 57kg division, displayed exceptional skills and determination, earning herself a well-deserved silver medal. The Queen of the Ring tournament, provided a platform for female boxers to showcase their talent and passion for the sport.
