Geraldton householder woke to sound of intruder walking on roof, say police

A man has been charged with trespass after he allegedly climbed onto the roof of house in Webberton early on Sunday morning.

Police said the owner of the property woke up about 4am to the sound of the man walking on the roof.

Police were called to the scene and allegedly saw the man jump off the roof and try to flee.

A 40-year-old Spalding man was later arrested and will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court.
