Wayne Kenneth Glew: Geraldton man accused of encouraging arrest of WA Premier Mark McGowan pleads not guilty

A Geraldton man accused of telling others to arrest WA Premier Mark McGowan has pleaded not guilty to the charge and is set to go to trial next year. Wayne Kenneth Glew appeared in Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday for a committal mention on inciting another person to commit an indictable offence. Police allege Mr Glew made various allegations against Mr McGowan and Police Commissioner Chris Dawson in a series of videos uploaded to social media. Mr Glew, who represents himself, said he had received disclosure, pleaded not guilty and was ready to proceed. Magistrate Angus Hockton said the case had to go to a judge “much wiser” than himself. “I’m very small fry, I’m the first to admit that,” he said. Mr Glew will re-appear in Geraldton District Court on March 1 next year for a trial listing hearing.
