A Geraldton man has been charged by detectives following a raid on his Woorree property last week which uncovered drugs, weapons and a large amount of cash.

Det-Sen. Sgt Bruce McDonald said police searched the Polo Road house on March 5 following ongoing inquiries into drug dealing.

He said police found and seized $5000 cash, 56g of cannabis, three firearms, and ammunition.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with failing to comply with firearm regulations, failing to adequately store ammunition, drug possession, and unlawfully pointing a firearm at a person.

Det-Sen. Sgt McDonald said the man would appear in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on April 1.

“Anyone with information about suspected drug dealing in our city should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” he said.
