Geraldton masseur Chun Hung Wong to stand trial after pleading not guilty to indecent assault allegations

A Geraldton-based masseur accused of indecently dealing with female clients during massage sessions over a seven-year period will stand trial over the allegations. Chun Hung Wong today appeared for the first time in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court, where Magistrate Matthew Walton accepted his pleas of not guilty to three counts of carrying out indecent acts and one count of unlawful and indecent assault. The most recent charges against the 37-year-old are alleged to have occurred at a Geraldton massage business on February 19 this year. It will be alleged one offence occurred sometime between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2014. Another count relates to an allegation said to have happened sometime between January 1 and December 31, 2014. Det-Sen. Sgt Bruce McDonald said the investigation by Geraldton detectives had been going for more than six months before Mr Wong’s arrest, during which time police say more alleged victims of the masseur had come forward after the original complaint. “Anyone who wants to make a complaint is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers or Geraldton detectives,” he said. Mr Wong’s conditions of bail were extended and he will appear in the same court on October 4 for a trial allocation date.
